Aftersun is a 2022 movie following a father-daughter vacation, with themes of grief, depression, childhood, and parenthood. The reflection on and distortion of memories, the contrast between light and heavy moments makes for a very personal feel. Shot on 35mm film, the movie is visually compelling, transitioning between natural and stylized lighting, & incorporating MiniDV footage.
